The Wallace House is a lovingly restored farmhouse that now offers guest stays as part of Saint Paul Farms properties. Adjacent to the farmhouse are orchards, a cidery, a vineyard and tasting room. Originally built in the 1800’s, the Wallace house was completely renovated in 2019 to preserve historical integrity while offering modern amenities and conveniences. Beautiful architectural detail is found throughout, as well as spacious meeting areas, brightly lit rooms, and a gourmet kitchen.
Located in the heart of Asheville’s historic Montford district, the 1900 Inn on Montford is your destination for a unique and authentic view into what makes our city so great. The Carolina Bed & Breakfast, a Richard Sharp Smith designed home, has had a number of loving caretaker owners. Under their guidance and care, the house and gardens have been beautifully restored. Heart pine floors glow in the sunlight and the original coal fireplaces in the spacious bedrooms have been retrofitted with gas for your comfort and enjoyment. The public rooms and front porch are much loved by guests who choose to relax there and the kitchen functions at the center of the house providing guests with homemade breakfasts and treats. The Carolina Bed & Breakfast, an Arts & Crafts Style house, is a fine example of Richard Sharp Smith’s preference for pebble-dash, shingles, high-pitched roofs, and heavy stone foundations.
